The life of an event planner; there's never a dull moment! My creative role at Harrah's Philadelphia Casino (Caesars Entertainment) introduced me to casino marketing and promotions, large to small-scale special event planning, and event designing. Showcased below were a few of my all-time favorites. Images were all shot by me.
DIAMOND DAY THEME PARTY: HALLOWEEN GRAVEYARD
Something wicked this way comes…to Harrah's Philadelphia's Diamond Lounge! This Halloween Graveyard Theme Party had decor, treats, casino drawings, and more that were to *die* for.
Every month, all Diamond and Seven Star Total Rewards guests are invited to a special theme party we call “Diamond Day.” A graveyard theme for this month was chosen to fit the spooky vibes with decor ranging from creepy tombstones to a thrilling fog machine. Our guests were first welcomed in with a Halloween inspired buffet-style dinner, dessert, a black margarita signature drink, and of course, plenty of candy! At the end of every Diamond Day, eight winners are drawn to win $50 in free slot play and 1 lucky winner of $100. Halloween parties are all about trick-or-treating yourself – and our guests did just that!

PHILADELPHIA MAGAZINE'S WHISKEY FESTIVAL
Timeline of Events
Trade: 4:30pm – 5pm
VIP Tasting: 5pm – 6pm
Grand Tasting: 6:30pm – 9pm
This year’s sold-out Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival, hosted by Philadelphia Magazine was held at the beautiful Tork Club inside the Lincoln Financial Field. I, along with a few members of my team, proudly represented Harrah's Philadelphia.
There was plenty of whiskey to go around here (of course!) but this event also featured 250+ premium distilled spirits from tequilas to vodkas! Guests experienced VIP tastings through exclusive interactive spirit lounges. (My personal favorite – Bacardi Rum Room)! Small plates from some of Philly’s top restaurants including Brü Craft & Wurst and The Capital Grille paired perfectly with the various drink options.
Harrah’s offered a signature Bulleit Bourbon Manhattan for guests to sip on, which was a unique crowd favorite! In addition, we had a roulette and blackjack table (just for fun) and we distributed $50 match play cards to promote our casino.
We had a great time working with Philly Mag at such a large-scale, fun event for both guests and sponsors.

DIAMOND DAY THEME PARTY: HARVEST
Thankful for another successful Diamond Day Theme Party in Harrah's Philadelphia Diamond Lounge (and for pumpkin pie, of course). This month’s theme captured all of the beauty, colors, and tastes of autumn and Thanksgiving.
The dining room was decorated with bright sunflowers, elegant cornucopias, scare crows, pumpkins, hanging turkey lanterns, and colorful balloons. A buffet-style feast and a cranberry apple cocktail awaited the guests…but first, pictures! A photo booth was set at check-in upon arrival with fun Thanksgiving themed props and a pumpkin haystack backdrop. (Snapchat and Instagram Boomerangs can really work up an appetite)!
After feasting, there’s always room for desserts like candy and caramel apples, assorted cheesecakes, cookies, and pies galore! Lastly, nine lucky winners were chosen to win free slot play.

BIG RED SLED GIVEAWAY AND MONEY BOOTH
Harrah’s Philadelphia’s December 2018 Big Red Sled Giveaway and Money Booth Promotion has sleigh-ed all month long!
A stage on the casino floor was transformed into “Santa’s Workshop,” decorated with snow, pine cones, presents, Christmas trees, and of course, a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee to win. On select Saturdays in December, guests had the opportunity to enter a money booth to win special Christmas gifts or “money” ranging from $10 to $500. The money was downloaded into guests’ accounts as free slot play.
The finale took place on December 29th, where winners were drawn every half hour from 4 – 9:30 pm to claim a gift from inside the Jeep. Later, five winners opened large envelopes tied with red bows simultaneously. Four of those envelopes contained a voucher for $250 in free slot play and one was the grand prize of Santa’s big red sled or $24,000 in cash! The finale winner chose the cash option and enjoyed a glass of champagne to celebrate on us. He could not be happier!
